I am what I see… outward and inward. My limitation is what I see and my infinity is what I see. Perception is all we really have – and the definite knowledge that each and every one of us is born and will die. The rest is all the middle. The interesting part. The juice.

I am equal parts observer and action. My camera has done a lot of talking for me, in ways that words have sometimes said too little. My words have painted pictures for me, in ways that the camera showed myopic.

I am a mother, business woman, poet, photographer, philanthropist and first-generation American. I believe inter-racial marriage will someday level the playing field. Most of all, I love life. This game and the chance to play hard – win or lose (with a stronger desire to win).

Also, I am a bit of a walking juxtaposition. Right brain AND left.

I don’t always love people – but I am always about people. They inspire me. They are where the magic thrives. When I see a person, I see their brilliance – that 300 foot bird’s eye view that makes going the distance so much fun. And when I help someone else get there – so do I.

I am the “girl with a short skirt and a long jacket…who uses a machete to cut through red tape.” Sometimes you have to kick a little ass – but that’s just getting past the fear. Once you do that, things get really interesting.

This is the beginning of my story. I am Preeti. I am unapologetically discriminate about what inspires me – and I’m chasing myself to reveal my truest humanity.

I hope you’ll join me and share your thoughts and comments along the way!
